Amazing how perfectly shaped the cutter is, isn't it? At that magnification I would have expected some roughness or slight imperfection in the cutting tool, but it looked perfect. That was cool.
That may be the coolest machining video I've ever seen. Any idea what kind of system it takes to get images like that? SEM? The ability to get the magnified detail of the cutting edge and the grain in the metal flowing around it is simply amazing.
That's a cutting tool cutting steel. Looks a bit like a knife cutting cheese, doesn't it?
