I know it's the mainstream media and they tend to embellish a bit but this
story has so much FAIL it's amazing.
The kid allegedly has a bunch of illegal knives and hand weapons,
bought with Mom's credit card, and kept under a sofa in the living room.
WHAT?
How can a family be sooooo disconnected as to not see any of this??
He tried to sell them on facebook... Story "HERE"
Several things bug me about this story.
ReplyDeleteA. How does your kid charge stuff on your credit card without you knowing?
B. I'm so glad I don't live in a State where owning a knife is illegal.
C. Is the problem the knives, the credit card or Facebook? Holy crap, pick a boogieman.
D. Did the kid make some actual threats against someone? A little clarification about why this is such a big deal would help. Maybe he was trying to make some spare cash by reselling goodies he bought online.
Both my girls and My Bride have knives. I bought them. Of course, they are more practical than the knives this kid was buying. You never know when you might need a good knife...
They better not look at my collection!
