hardinge are good..I ran a conquest lathe, made by Hardinge, for awhile... MADE IN USA ..was one of the many good things about them..that and the "super precision"... we held .0001 easy enuff on most all metals.
Its better then my day to day, I run balls through small brass tubing to size it. Besides I could see me making parts for my "hobby" when the boss wasn't around. Sucks on a Saturday though!
didnt know you was a fellow CNC man..is that an old HAAS?
ReplyDeleteNo anon, its a Hardinge/ Bridgeport 760XP3
ReplyDeleteI've been in the trade for a long time. Started around bridgeports and lathes when I was 14.
