This Past Sunday I Finally Gave Up On The Drudgereport

Sunday morning coffee usually involves some computer time checking out the news and surfing my sidebar of fellow bloggers before getting the day started. I had noted, as well as many others, that Drudge was leaning more and more negative on Trump with the headlines and linked stories. Once and for all I cleared the site from links and bookmarks.

Many others have already dumped drudge. I guess it took me a bit longer.

Obviously there are many aggregate sites out there and they are vying for the big spot light.

Hours can be lost going down rabbit holes on any of these sites so most are a quick peruse for something that catches my eye.

Here are a few of the others that are in my "news links" bookmarks

 Whatfinger,

Breitbart

 Bad Blue ,

CitizenFreePress

TheLibertyDaily

Lucianne

Any others that you can recommend?

  3. https://www.newsmax.com/

Has become better than Fox, and rivals Breitbart.

  4. Thanks for asking! I would very much like if you would consider adding https://thelibertycoalition.org/ to your links. You can expect some major changes coming the site in the next few months. My plan is to focus on making it a true hub for liberty-minded citizens with as many resources as possible. Currently I have an extensive "Liberty Links" page. I am working on an even larger, categorized page with a plethora of resources. (you are on the list at least twice - with and without the "The". It is also available for anyone reading this to add your own site to this list.

  6. I saw a link somewhere to Rantingly
    https://rantingly.com/

and I'm leaning towards using them as my default. I rarely ever go to Drudge anymore. To rephrase Anonymous 811AM, Fox has slipped left, too. There's just no real alternative, at least that I can get. Fox News has never claimed to be conservative, they've just given air time to a few more conservative pundits. Someone's idea of good commentary is to have two people on at once representing both sides in a debate and have them talk over each other and bicker like four year olds. It drives me nuts. There's a handful of pundits that I absolutely will not listen to because I know they're just going to talk over the other guy.

One America News Network (OAN or OANN) could be better, but it seems the only way to get them is through AT&T. We cut the cable and switched to internet streaming about 18 months ago, and they're the only streaming service that carries OAN.

  23. When I first started reading Drudge I thought he was the real deal and a breath of fresh air. Today, when you read his site, you'd think the world was going to hell in a handbasket. TPTB probably threatened to skin his family alive and make him watch or they found the pictures of him screwing a goat on top of a Dairy Queen when he was a teenager, etc. Anyhow, his whole philosophy changed to the darkside and most Riki Tik.

  25. Yeah, I thought it was my imagination until some blog buds started noticing the same thing about DRUDGE. Thanks for the list of alternatives.

A few months ago, a caller asked Rush if he knew of any unbiased news sources. Rush dodged a bit, but his answer was an emphatic NO.

Of course there's always Little Green Footballs... pre-Obama. :D

  38. I gave up on Drudge nearly four years ago. Switched to many of the sites already posted. But for three years I've been using thelibertymill.com as a starting point. Found so much good alternative information and sites from there.

  39. Oh, it is YOU I should hate for publishing this and the Silicon Greybeard republishing it.

Now, since visiting Rantingly, I'm adding TWICE as many articles every day to my "I'll never read all these articles" list.
