The moment he realized the Madden 19 Gaming Tournament had ran out of "participation trophies"
Is it just me or does this guy look like the standard hybrid model mind-control crisis actor frequently used in various roles in these types of shootings?
Not saying that the whole esteem movement everyone's a winner and participation trophy generations never learning to lose gracefully and constructively is wholly to blame for his, but I begin to wonder how fractionally to blame it is.
You missed one: Jarrod Loughner, the guy who shot Gabby Giffords in the head. Since she was a Democrat, the bullet missed a vital organ. This guy was so batshit crazy you could see it from a hundred yards. Between the thousand yard stare and shaven head, he looked like a cross between an evil Uncle fester and Private Snowball from Full Metal Jacket. I used to work in a private nuthouse in in my yoot, so I recognized him for what he was the first time I saw his photo.
I am a strong supporter of the 2A, but when insanity is that obvious I would have prosecuted the owner of the gun shop where he bought the pistol for gross stupidity! The system is broken. Every time one of these mass casualty shootings occur, we later find out the shooter sent off more signal flares than the HMS Titanic.
Unfair. FFL holders are mostly scrupulously diligent in their effort to keep firearms out of the hands of prohibited/ unfit purchasers of firearms. Even to the point of informing sketchy clients that simply calling in an atf 4473 form for them could result in an a felony charge for the client. They regularly decline sales to sketchy clients based on instinct. But they aren't infallible. Fortunately most never sell to a sick actor. But to hold them responsible for the actions of a sick actor who happens to pass all the legal requiremants is totally misguided and immoral.
I noticed that the other night, the similarity between this asshat and Adam Lozenge (what a pain in the neck). But I missed the Hogg connection. Good eye. Deplorable B Woodman.
If they mental health issues and lie on the forms and if the mental health issues are NOT in the instant background check system they pass the background check. End of story Who's at fault the government agency who is not keeping the system updated
Even if they passed the NICS check, the seller has the absolute right to nix the sale for ANY reason. A responsible shop owner shouldn't have sold this CLEARLY disturbed gentleman a rubber band gun much less the real thing.
I see that, and other pictures, and think "Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look..."
Funny how similar they do appear.
(And while from fiction, I remember the line from the original Spartacus to the effect that "Why is it that people who are disagreeable are always thin?")
Too many psych meds with the younger generation.
