You couldn't feed MRE's to prisoners, they are considered insufficient food, but you can feed them to deployed and other troops. Prisoners are required to have more cell space than active duty Army. I shared a room in Korea that was too small to house a prisoner in, but was big enough to house 4 enlisted soldiers.
Now these will brighten up the day!
