I'm an IT guy, Director for 22 years with 38 in the field overall. I have been exposed to everything the speaker talks about, and he is 100% factual in his presentation. I haven't verified if the manuals and info are so readily available on the dark web, will take his word for it. However, from a technical standpoint, he outlines several flaws that, if left unmittigated, would result in unnecessary exposure and risk, this is gross negligence and should result in termination of all decision makers.
ReplyDeleteALWAYS use TPM to link the HD to the specific machine. Active automatic updates on virus software, another easy solution not taken. Really, it's basic best practices. They are really not difficult tasks to do, a simple shell script would take care of everything but enabling the chip in the Bios, so not only is it negligence but laziness as well for it to be so widespread across so many different IT departments that are responsible for the care and feeding of such devices. I'm shocked actually, that not a freaking one of them did anything other than process purchase orders... Ooo a cert, must mean all is good!

As remarkable as he sounds, does anyone really believe this "solid" evidence will make any difference? ReplyDeleteThose aren't "bugs" they are features. The software is acting as intended, open and insecure to anyone who knows how to circumvent almost non-existent security.
ReplyDeleteCorrect, it's a feature for those counties and organizations that want to fortify elections.
Delete6 groups of people that will not touch election security with a 10 mile pole: politicians, lawyers, law enforcement, the media, accounting firms and cybersecurity firms. Doesn't matter what evidence you have, only a "token" effort is made.
He needs to sell whatever he can and buy a big OBS truck, wear undercover body armor and pack heat with reloads.
ReplyDeleteThose are not illusions , they are delusions under democracy. Where everything is as they say it is. Safe and healthy, free and fair, undefinable genders and my favorite diversity. Their justice includes Just-Us. That peaceful is pieceful. their strength is incivility and immorality against a system that used to segregate the problems away from polite society.

ReplyDeleteTo add some flavor: Illinois' website for CCW was horrendously implemented. It required years-old out of date browser version along with specific patches (also out of date) otherwise it wouldn't work. My impression is it was created the way it was to be as difficult as possible for citizens. GOV has no interest in doing IT stuff efficient, when fucking over citizens isnt the priority.
ReplyDeleteThere are Lawsuits going up to the Supreme Court for this from AZ. The software has been shown in 2020 and 2022 to be open to access and votes can be modified, and the county of Maricopa did not do proper tests as required by the state previous to voting.

So these laptops were kept out of IT's hands? The first thing you do after initializing a system is to change the admin password and critical software password. The second is to update the virus protection. Third is to update the OS and other critical software.
ReplyDeleteIt is time to pull out some India ink and use paper ballots. Beside the signature, a fingerprint is required. Anybody showing up with a blue thumb to vote a second time gets a mandatory 5 year felony prison stay where they loose their right to vote for life.

The answer to much of this is paper ballots. Do not even use a computer tabulator. Handout with Dems and Repubs observer verifications. Mail in ballots reserved for special cases. All a pipe dream but it is the only way to restore confidence in our elections.

ReplyDeleteTell me again, Mr. Meathead Hannity, how 99.999 per cent of the blue-coat feds are honorable and heroic. Tell me about how voting harder will get us out of anything. Tell me why I'm wrong to shout We Are Not Represented and Our Votes Don't Matter.
Taking back the country will not be possible through corrupt voting.
The simplest solution for stopping election fraud is prosecuting those involved, removing the politician that gained from the corruption, and hang all the next morning after conviction. It would send a message and lead to a strong effort to secure elections.
