Three days ago we were going to get "clobbered". I was out yesterday and the markets and
gas stations were busy. At least the parking lots and pumps were full of cars. This was on the 10th:
This is the WMUR map for NH this morning:
This is WHDH for The PRoM.
We might get lucky to get .5 an inch at this point.
Even the computer models were all over the place.
yeah. they where talking about 3-6 inches here in the hills of pa. well, there is about 3/4 of a inch out front.
ReplyDeleteand last I check, the radar was clear around here. as always, hype, bullshit and outright lies from the "news"
later, dave in pa.
But note: they can use their computers to accurately calculate to the tenth of a degree, how much the temperature will go up in 100 years, and we need to 'fix things' to prevent the catastrophic 'Global Warming'. /sarc
ReplyDelete...and they use the same modeling algorithms and the same atmospheric inputs as they use to generate today's five and ten day forecast they just run the programs longer. The accuracy of those close in 10 day forecasts is WRONG more than 40% of the time, not to mention the five day forecast is WRONG 20% of the time. But hey, they KNOW what they're doing. They're the EXPERTS.
DeleteNow, the latest fear mongering is that the Atlantic conveyor current, which carries warm water from the tropics to the N. Atlantic and provides warming to UK and Europe is going to stop in the next ten years or so, maybe sooner, because the Greenland ice sheet is melting AT AN ALARMINGLY ACCELERATED RATE, which will plunge those countries into an ICE AGE.
Did I tell you about this bridge that I have...?
Nemo
Greenland ice sheet, did they mention the semi-active volcano under the ice? Or does that matter?
DeleteDoesn't matter to the "climate experts" Because they're "experts", they get to ignore facts.

The weather is the weather. You get what you get.
ReplyDeletethe weather manipulators don't coordinate with the weather forecasters. the weather men need to start watching flighttracker24.com and add that data into their models.
ReplyDeleteImagine that
ReplyDeleteHere on the Front Range of Colorado we call them weather guessers for a reason.
ReplyDeleteJust got up and looked out the window, no snow on the ground (air temp 35) flakes starting to mix in with rain. Last nights forecast said it should have been snowing for six hours by now, with snow on the ground.
ReplyDeleteFor this we canceled bowling?
When I got up at 6AM, I looked outside to see what the weather was doing. No snow and the driveway was dry. It was supposed to be snowing heavily according to yesterday AM's forecast. It's now ~9:30AM and just started to snow very lightly. So lightly that you have to look at a dark background to tell that it's snowing and the flakes are of a size that usually means short duration and not a lot of accumulation.
ReplyDeleteAnother "named storm" fizzle. One of these days, I'm going to get around to finishing my exploration of how and why the NWS is naming almost every weather "event" these days that our host sicced me onto a bit ago. So far, it looks like collusion between the government(NWS) and the insurance companies, so that the insurance companies can claim "act of God" for which they don't have to pay claims or pay them at a severely reduced level in affected regions.
Just another more subtle way the PTB are f*cking us on a daily basis.

I trust the weather service as much as I trust:
ReplyDeletethe government
the irs
the medical industry
the fbi
the legal system
the banking system
cops
women...
Need I go on?
where fake news got it's start. some people are still believers.
ReplyDeleteA whole lotta nuttin’. It was not like this with the meteorologists when there wasn’t DEI hiring, and WMUR is as woke as it gets. Should be able to comment on their YT vids so they know we aren’t like that here in NH!
ReplyDeleteCPGen
Wanna know what the weather is,use the weather channel,i.e. open a window or door!
ReplyDeleteI never had a job where I got to just Be Wrong and keep getting paid. Being right 90%of the time wasn't good enough. You either fix the copier or cash register or you better have a really good reason.
ReplyDeleteMy wife will not take her face out of her phone...and when the "bad" weather is forecast, she goes bonkers. Checking the Weather Channel website every five minutes and her own forecast is "The End of the World!"
ReplyDeleteJEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like your weatherman was exaggerating his "3 - 6 inches"

Just goes to show again that as smart as some people think they are, they are still not smart enough to pinpoint what nature will do, which also proves the climate change people are full of, well you know, believing they know enough about weather and what nature can do.
ReplyDeleteButterfly effect comes to mind. We were told some, I say SOME, snow here in cny, but nothing.
ReplyDeleteSince when could weathermen actually predict the weather...
ReplyDeletewunderground.com as local as weather reporting can get
ReplyDeleteSnow and cold predicted for February? Who'da thunk it?
