I am not sure what going on here, but several years ago Ft. Knox had a similar problem.

  5. Drugs? Contaminated drugs? Vax induced cardiomyopathy? Young males in normally good shape simply don't keep over for no reason with no warning.

  6. I have never understood the obsessionn with an organization that claims honor and all that rot but treats its adherents with veiled contempt.

  10. Don't overlook the obvious: this could be simple despair and despondency at just being at Ft. Jackson, SC.
Most recruits there would sympathize. So maybe they just up and died.
All military branches mainly only put bases in the most awful uninhabitable sh*tholes on earth they can find, and this one is no exception. If it later becomes not quite so bad, they close it and sell it off.

Off Topic: How has the DotMil allowed a U.S. military base to remain named after the eeeeeeevil slave-owning Indian-killing white supremacist Andrew Jackson, instead of renaming it Fort Dykey Bluehair, or Fort Buttplug Faggotry, or somesuch other happy horsesh*t?
    Just wondering, is all...

    1. Perhaps they justify it by saying it's actually named after "Reverend" Jessie Jackson.

    2. Off topic: The asking of the question was super well played!
Back on topic: I was thinking they might have been suicides as the cause had not been listed. On one I believe the mention was made that "no foul play was suspected" or similar.

  13. Did basic at FJ in 1969. Barracks had been condemned since WW2 at that
    time.

    1. Did basic there in 1982. Same barracks. But not the worst of all.

  14. So that's what drill sgt's look like these days, huh?
They looked a little more "serious" when I went in in 1974.
