Nothing new about this - Rich Davis (inventor of 2nd Chance vests) used to demo his products by shooting himself - while wearing his product - back in 1972. And that was with a .44. Proof of product capability is a Good Thing!
Richard Davis got there first. Shot himself around 200 times while wearing his Second Chance vests. Had his old man shoot him a few times with an SKS to show how well his "Coast Guard" type vests worked. I saw him do a test twice. Once with a .44 Mag and once with a .480 Ruger. I was more nervous than he was when he did the .44 shoot.
Rich was a guy who believed in his product and stood behind it.
