Of course Zelensky hates Putin. Putin attacked his country for no other reason than he wants to re-establish the glory of the Soviet Union and have a secure land route to his naval base in Crimea. Crimea, which Putin illegally annexed without so much as a peep from Obama.
Obama did give Ukraine Blankets and MRE's when asked for weapons, so there's that.
Another piece of land lost to the Communists by the Demonrats and another country betrayed by the USA, after being promised protection in exchange for giving up their nukes. Foolish, foolish decision at which Putin could barely wait for another weak US President so he could attack a supposedly outmatched foe. With that record. it's a wonder we have any "allies" left.
So much for the vaunted Russian might. Three and a half years later, Russia has failed to take Ukraine and is barely holding on by the skin of its teeth to conquered territory in Ukraine's east and they fight on.
I don't think Trump's going to succeed in bringing peace here. I don't believe he understands Zelensky and Ukraine's peoples resolve in not letting Putin have eastern Ukraine, even if it means every Ukrainian man's death AND they want Crimea back. That was the deal back when it was made. Ukraine keeps Crimea and Russia keeps its naval base in their territory. I haven't heard any details of Russia having to pay for that privilege.
Putin probably could have made a deal with Ukraine to pay them for use of their roads to supply his base in Crimea. He choose to use force instead because Bribem, like Obama, was going to stand idly by doing nothing to honor Ukraine's protection guarantee Now, Putins getting his ass handed to him along with being the laughing stock of world military powers, including his allies China and the NORKS who are sending their troops to the front "to gain combat experience".
And one can't forget that Russia has hated the Ukraine since before the Tsars' times. Stalin tried to literally starve them to death. Post WWII the Russian leaders of the Soviet Union continued the economic rape of the Ukraine.
Yes, Zelinsky is corrupt. The latest after a long line of corrupt leaders. So? What Russia did was wrong, very wrong and went against treaties they signed with the Ukraine.
And, well, Russia is destroying itself. Meanwhile the ChiComs are eyeing Siberia like a starving lion looking at a pile of meat.
That’s the kind of AI. I’m OK with because that’s some funny ass shit right there. I admire the people who know how to use that technology and create this great entertainment for us. I’m waiting for someone to do a full assembly of Congress in the house chamber that would be hilarious
