To The Fans , Friends , Lurkers and Ne'er Do Wells.... We Will Not Go Quietly Into The Night....

First off, a huge thank you to those that support the blog by visiting, commenting and sending PM's

It's humbling that this little corner of the webz has turned into what it has.

Secondly, this is all free candy, myself and Jeffery do this for the entertainment value, camaraderie

and hobby aspects of blogging.  There has never been any financial incentive or financial income

for what is here. It is just a clearing house for sophomoric fun and information that I deem worth

sharing.  Currently work is very busy as well as my personal life.  Today I spent some time looking

at photo sharing sites to at least host FFFF so I can just post a link. (freeimage.host) is one I found.

If anyone knows about that please email or comment.

In the meantime, I plan to reach out to divemedic and mike at Coldfury to see what is involved

to move there.  I also found a list of some open source blog platforms.   HERE<

Here is a list of 'free' image hosting sites.  HERE<

Over the past 14+ years I have gotten very adept at getting around blogger and posting with

relative ease. The thought of trying a new platform is , shall we say, not what I would like

to do. BUT, it seems like it's going that way.

Please feel free to comment or email so a discussion can be started about possible better

alternatives. I know some of you are a lot more tech savvy than I.

Maybe I will try a donation page or some form of ad income will help ease the burden.

 All thoughts are welcome.

Again, thank you all.  It's greatly appreciated.

Slainte !!

  6. I know you will, but just making sure that you'll let us know where to find the bestest Friday Night Entertainment! Those classic cars and awesome food pics are heartwarming! Oh, and those ladies are sort of nice to gawk at too! As an older guy, how about more older ladies? Oh, and some young ones from the mid 60's and early 70's?? Those would bring back memories of my HS years as a lifeguard! Thanks for all you do!!

  7. I'd be in for a buck or ten or whatever and whenever it seems appropriate.

I'll be interested in seeing what you guys come up with. I've thought about doing a blog but crap like this and what those dirty, rotten sons-a-bitches did to Chief Nosewetter holds me back.

    1. What Juan said. I'll only add that years ago I ditched using Google of everything except my email accounts. They've been free and too easy to link my email software, but that's coming too.

  15. For what it's worth, I'm right now in the process of "replacing" a web site that's gone dark (death of owner). It's a small group that wishes to stay together so I volunteered to host the site on my infrastructure. I have a hosting service and use Wordpress dot org, not dot com - though I believe the WP.com version is a "free" service. I've never had any censorship problems using either version. The dot org version is far more flexible but not cheap because it is a self-hosted platform - you need a hosting service ... costs of which are somewhat dependent on traffic levels. But you get what you pay for.
I'm debating charging a membership fee or not on this new site - I may not have to; I can do this cheaply for the others because I already pay for the service for my other activities and my licenses allow "unlimited" web pages and unlimited uses of the theme; I'll just piggyback the new site on my present host. Registering the new domain is a minor expense. Most of our group are OK with a small fee. However, if I were to use the infrastructure I have now from scratch, it would cost many hundreds of dollars per year ($250 - $600) depending on bells and whistles and I would have to either eat the cost or charge a moderately high subscription fee (depending on the number of subscribers). The hosting service is the big and necessary expense. I don't know about the "free" services - I don't use Blogger for exactly the reason you got blocked - and yours isn't the only site I've seen this happen to ... and bare titties aren't the only reason for the blocking. I'm not suggesting anything for your site, just letting you know what I'm going through with setting up a new blog site
Good luck with however you continue

  16. Sucks to have to move blog. Been a long time since I had one, and I dreaded the task. Done it for others too, though that was back in the ancient times of blogging. I'm one of those guys that really appreciates this place, though I rarely comment. I should change that...

2 possibilities come to mind. One is a blogger whose blog / handle I don't remember - very much a "free speech" and liberty-oriented type guy. I managed to run across a badge for his hosting though. Troglodite Services. Yeah, you go to the .com for that domain and it's nothing. Contact via e-mail Sales [ atat ] Troglodite . com. Don't know the current status. For example, GunFreeZone is hosted there, but Miguel has moved to substack - I don't know why.

Other would be the guy who runs Sippican Cottage. Here - https://www.sippicancottage.com/2024/12/welcome-to-the-byzantine-empire.html - he mentions he runs a web hosting service. His e-mail is down at the bottom. I know nothing about the guy, other than he has a flair for writing and snarky commentary.

  21. For what it's worth, I started here (blogger) went to WordPress and came back. Though in the end I think WP backed off their plans to destroy their system with a "new and improved" interface that was new and not improved.

Most of the free sites like Blogger or WP are going to have fairly vague community guidelines that will let them throttle or kill any content they don't like, which for most of these places is anything to the right of Bill Clinton

Even some of the for-a-fee hosting sites will have the same. Not all.

I didn't move the old blog. I had my original blog here online as archives when I went to WP and when I came back, and the WP site is still there. But the old links were broken and taken over by Spam and Scam sites. And the Moonbats started reporting the site, so I had to make it private.

Which is probably what happened to you. The people who are distressed by your content are reporting you to silence opinions they disagree with.
