FBI issues warning to the public not to shoot drones
Alabama's Drone Sighting: Officials warn of tactical action consequences.
There have been sightings in Alabama. Particularly, drone sightings have occurred in the southern portions of the state and officials feel it is necessary to get the word out that it is illegal to shoot down a drone. Their have no sighting so far in the town of Foley which butts up to Gulf Shores, AL. The mayor of Foley still felt so strongly that he made a public statement warning folks not to engage drones with guns. The mayor, who was quoted in the article, doesn't sound real sure of himself in regard to the legalities from the way I read it. Here is the link to the STORY. Not a lot in this piece, but I knew someone would ask so, I posted the link too. The real story is the fact that people, such as the mayor. deep down really believe there are a large number of Alabamians who do not like anyone looking over their shoulders combined with the fact that there are more guns in Alabama than people. A lot of people will deal with the "scary" drones in their own way. There will be some, if the opportunity presents itself, who will revert to the the SSS method to ease their minds. Most folks are too busy to give it much more than a gaze. Whether this drone thing is real threat, a phycological operation, or a desperate search to find some WMD (again possible pysop), etc., who can say? I suppose we will have to wait and see. As for the potential "drone shooters". I imagine if any potential shooters are identifiable, they will receive a very rapid response from the owners, .gov
I believe it is nearly impossible to shoot one down with a rifle or shotgun. A hobby drone barely bigger than a book, 400 feet up, flying at 40mph? Nobody could take one down with a shotgun even with turkey magnum loads. Damn hard to hit with a rifle too. And the bigger drones might have the ability to shoot back.
ReplyDeleteNope, it’s quad mount 40mm Bofors time with proximity fusing. Good luck finding one at your local Gunz R Us.
BS , I pass shoot Wood ducks that are flying as fast as they can & do just fine. Might take a few tries to get in front of them but it's doable.
DeleteFight drone with drone. Your drone tows a net made of low test monofilament.
DeleteOr, get into falconry.
American180 .22lr machine gun would get results. Don't forget tracers.
DeleteA 22 lr can rainbow for over a mile. You are still responsible for where it lands.
DeleteI personally know a young US Army serviceman who shot a drone (under NODs) with his M4 in Korea while on sentry duty. Received an Army Commendation Medal for it.
DeleteNonsense. I used to bullseye womp-rats back home an' they're not much bigger.
Delete-Luke S.
Ditto Anon @ 5:20... there's video of a Russian shooting down a drone w/ an AK. Can't be done, says the guy who doesn't own a gun and never shoots them. I've got 50-round mags for a reason, and if I dump one in the general direction, I'll betcha I get a hit!
DeleteAmmo corp makes tracer-style rounds now, also. They have a phosphor on the back-end of the bullet so only the shooter see's it. I've bought them at Rural King.
If the drone is traveling at speed, enh.
DeleteBut if it is hovering or slowly crossing my place I will take a shot.
Ever been goose hunting with a long barrel 12 gauge? It can be done.
DeleteSomeone may already have written this, but I find the banjo in that last video a nice touch.
DeleteWell, if owners.gov step up to bitch if their drones have been used as clay pigeons, then we'll know whose they are....
ReplyDeleteMidwest Chick
Everything in that video points the shooter using a paintball gun. Would be "interesting" to try some 5.56 SS109/M885. I’ve always been partial to a 12GA SxS muzzle loader. Load is multiple split shot crimped to a length of music wire. Sorta poor man’s chain shot. Plus instant smoke screen.
ReplyDeleteJust two split shots, one on each end of a steel leader so they have something to grip while bolo-ing out. Pack three per shell. Good on geese on frozen ponds, they can't take off very well without their landing gear.
DeleteAlrighty, then. Better mouse trap, methinks.
DeleteDuck, turkey, buck shot loads, WILL take down a hobby drone. A commercial/military, 10+ lbs drone might be resilient enough to stay up, because they fly higher. Likely, any drone, less than 100' (34 yds) away is probably gonna crash. It's not a good idea to get the arrension of law enforcement by shooting down ANYBODIES drones. With that said, with high tech criminals, or other bad actors, casing your remote or rural home, self defence might be a legal defence. IDK.
ReplyDeleteWho wrote that lede?
ReplyDeleteIt says it's illegal to shoot a drone down (sic)
The linked article says there is no law against shooting down a drone.
If a drone is at or below 400 agl, any law prohibiting shooting at a drone comes up against property rights. Of course, if living in a densely populated area use what common sense you still have.
I wrote "officials feel" and the mayor felt". I cannot help the fact that idiots, including most anyone speaking on behalf of .gov, make public statements everyday that are false, out of date, and/or worthless. I imagine the legality of shooting a drone would be decided in a court of law ultimately. I am not a lawyer and for sure I am not an "official". I certainly cannot help what said officials "feel".
DeleteMy thought is that any drone that I could possibly knock down with a 12 gauge is already too close to my home and would be a castle doctrine situation.
DeletePersonally, I think a man would be within his rights to protect his "castle"/self, but again, I am not an attorney.
DeleteTime to bring out the punt gun

Heard that, but why aren't they looking in the daylight? If they are seen during the day nobody would think anything suspicious as they are seen in the dark as well. Questions would still be asked and I'm sure the authorities would dummy up, but at least it wouldn't cause such a stir.
DeleteI think it’s all psyop distraction. The evil that they do it may be a form of conditioning. If they are gonna burn it down they would probably dirty bomb dee cee to keep trump out of the white house
ReplyDeleteMaybe the deepstate has decided to employ the Samson Option?
DeleteFear is always a good way to get citizens to give up liberties.
Fits their pattern..
DeleteAnd it happened a month before the arch enemy T gets in. When T got in in 2016 it was Agenda 2021. Now it’s Agenda 2030 . Think they want to reset it again to Agenda 2040? There’s billions riding in the Agenda.

DeleteAt least Rand Paul see this for what it was, more infringement on our rights.
Air soft with sound
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of common law, I own my airspace (and dirt) right up to the edge of space and the center of the earth. Practically, I own mining rights -maybe down to a kilometer or so because that's as far as I can get- and airliners at 40 thousand feet are pretty much safe from paying a toll to cross my airspace. What I'd like to see is a blanket recognition that any aircraft operating under a thousand feet or so are trespassing and I have the right to discourage them any way I like, consistent with my OTHER rights and duties. In other words, can't shoot with a rifle (too much range, no idea where the bullet comes down), but a shotgun (limited range), a laser, hell a slingshot, trebuchet, or bolo- all OK as long as they stay on my property coming back to earth. In other words, open season on drones if over private property without permission.
ReplyDeletePlus 100, my property extends upward as far as my .243 will reach...hold my beer
DeleteDaytime and witnesses, if I see one I may just give it the Royal Finger & a StinkEye.
ReplyDeleteNight time? All bets are off. There may (or may not) be retaliatory fire in the drone's general direction.
President Elect B Woodman
OK,. if you go to Gateway, you'll find a pretty good precis of what's going on. The drones are very specialized hi-tech Navy drones https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/12/invasion-drones-breaking-truth-behind-mystery-drones-new/.
ReplyDeleteWhat they're looking for is missing radioactive material https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/12/u-s-nuclear-regulatory-commission-releases-report-confirming/.
Now, consider the mess in the Ukraine and its crooked government and the Brandon crime family. Toss noted Tiffany lamp and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Nuclear Fuel and Waste Disposition, Sam Brinton.
Scary, ain't it?
I'm reading the same. However why are the Nuclear Regulatory guys using U.S. Naval drones. They have a shit load of their own drones specifically designed for this task.
DeleteSomething else to consider. Some CIA whistle blower just delivered the goods on BoRock, Biden, Hillary, Brennan, etc, basically murdering Seal Team Six. What would they do to avoid being prosecuted?
Yes it's getting scary.
Thats been debunked.
Delete"That's been debunked" really? https://twitter.com/i/status/1868755286514893224
DeleteShould that be accurate (about the demise of Seal Team Six), and were I one of the perps, I really think that DOJ would be, like number 25 on my Top Five Things I Worry About list.
DeleteNo no no, I believe everything I read on the innerwebz.
DeleteDrones are just electronic trap shooting targets.
ReplyDeleteAnt-drone shotgun shells already exist. Spendy, but they exist:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.maverickdrone.com/products/skynet-drone-defense-3-pack
If you are a good tool user, split lead shot used in fishing line makes an excellent "bolo" round, use the highest-test monofilament you can get. VERY hard to shoot it down in the dark, I prefer a FAST FPV drone that sees in IR hauling a mesh behind it. You fly over the target and let it wrap the netting around the rotors. No matter if you turn off the (required) nav clearance lights, it's gonna show up real well on the IR spectrum. You get bonus points for recording the FPV from the drone, too.
If they were searching for radiation they would line them up, like people searching for a skier trapped under snow.
ReplyDeleteEither a waste of ammunition or alcohol.
ReplyDeleteWatch a number of Russian soldiers with AK based shotguns with 12 round clips, acting as close in infantry anti drone men, pretty effective from the videos, nothing on what ammo type they got. I thunk about it, figure up to me, number 1 or 2 buck is a good balance of number of shot to caliber of shot, plenty of energy in a .24 to .25 diameter chunk o lead.
ReplyDeleteBuddy mine got hit by 00 buck ricoshe off a steel bollard while in the military police, convict grabbed other guards shotgun and while running slung a shell load at him, 5 pellets flattened out hit him in the arm and ribs, sent him flying sideways, said it felt like a train hit him.
Two words:
ReplyDeleteKamikaze Drones.
There's nothing in the sky that cannot be taken down by something smaller, faster, and cheaper.
Hmmmm... p0nders why #4 buck is now so hard to get.
ReplyDeleteYes, drones are considered aircraft. They are also known as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or unmanned aerial vehicles. As aircraft, drones are subject to the regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which is responsible for regulating airspace.
ReplyDeleteDW
Interesting take by Congressman McCaul that these are Chinese drones.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised considering the number of military aged Chinese men that crossed the biden borders.

SSS... if not a snek, must be shoot, shovel, shutup - RTWT
ReplyDeleteAs big as they appear, doesn't seem very challenging. Here, hold my beer!
ReplyDeleteEveryone talks about taking out the drone, but down deep y'all know it's the pilot that needs blasted. Take that mofo out and these computer geeks will start wondering if it's okay to step out the door at the end of their shift. At least that's what a buddy of mine was saying.
ReplyDeleteThink your right, if they is doing something, anything, they are up to no good. Spraying us like cockroaches is what they do to us all the time, ead couple folks who believe its for dispersal of bio-engineered bacteria, causes a raft of long term health problems, kinda fits, this way really nobody knows its happening, everyone just see these drones flying around. Chem-trails of course went from "conspiracy theory" to conspiracy fact. To me it all boils down to killin' off humans, somebody has got depopulation fever, genocide, look everywhere now, mass deaths every where one looks. I'm serious. They fon't even hide it, you just need to do your du dilligence and most of the globalist elites all say the same thing, that is earth, their Ghia, has too many people on it, of course they are not included, they only want a few hundred million, for serfs and slaves, for maintaining their garden planet. You start to add shit together paints a pretty clear picture. Gonna be a fight this shit don't end. Big one. Cause somebody is gonna end up the exterminated. Guarantee it.
ReplyDeleteWe deserve better psyops.
ReplyDeleteIt’s another distraction in order to hide something more egregious. ‘Em bastards!
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen videos about the drones - nobody knows where they’re from. Shoot one down and see who comes looking for it. Like someone above said, I bet it’s someone with a .gov email.
ReplyDeleteAnother video from an Air Force officer, voice properly disguised. “These drones are mapping our facilities, including aircraft and weapons depots. We can’t do anything because FAA law says it requires congressional approval to do anything.” I’m pretty sure that the DoD doesn’t answer to the FAA, and if there was a sniff of national security involved, the drones would be tumbling.
Meanwhile, in Wyoming.....https://cowboystatedaily.com/2024/12/16/shooting-drones-is-illegal-but-a-shotgun-would-work-best-if-you-must/
ReplyDeleteI'd like to say I'm shocked at how fast we go from "make government smaller" to "pass legislation to protect us from deh dronzzz"..I'd like to, but I'm not.
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to say I'm shocked at how many people think the government is some all-powerful all-knowing-all-seeing force of nature, who have also worked in the military and should really know better.
warhorse_03826
I was shooting at a hawk/owl that was threatening my chickens. Didn't even see the drone there. Must have gotten in the way. Pilot should have known better.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the people at the FloraBama will put on a contest to knock the drones out?
ReplyDeleteFuck the fbi.
ReplyDeleteIf they were doing something nefarious, why would they have FAA-required navigation lights turned on? Doesn't mean we shouldn't know what they are doing. My guess is it's US government operated drones that are either engaged in exercises or engaged in surveillance of some kind (most likely looking for something specific, rather than just big-brother general surveillance).
ReplyDeleteThey taste like chicken.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteSo snare them with a weight on the end of a fishing line. You didn't shoot them.
ReplyDeleteSo what happens if I use a bow fishing rig?
Take a page from The Battle of Britain. Set up some “barrage ballons.”
ReplyDelete(Begins shotshell modification process)
ReplyDeleteI think that the PTB are trying to get us used to seeing drones in the air. The more they are seen the less likely any one will call law enforcement. My real concern is J20th. That is an outdoor event so those being sworn into office are easy targets for drones. If no one in an official capacity is willing to shoot one down then there is absolutely nothing standing in the way of an attack. Something to ponder.
ReplyDeleteI’m concerned that drones could be used on J20th during the inauguration. It’s an outdoor event and leaves everyone exposed. If officials are frozen in fear of the law to shoot one down then the outcome is obvious.
ReplyDelete
