If you like this you should check out Voyage 34, Part 1. Sorta kinda in the same time frame. There's a PT bootleg (soundboard) named Solo By The Smoke Machine recorded somewhere in Poland (I dis-remember exactly where) in 1997. I think it was in support of the Signify album. If you can't find or have no interest in the bootleg, it's on an obscure PT album Voyager 34: The Complete Trip. It was recorded in 1992 and 1993 but not released until 2000. Early PT is my favorite.
Not much into music, but if I were an up and coming musician my group would be named "Osage Orange". After the hedgerow tree that is harder than steel (don't think so? try driving a nail into one), and with vibrantly colored wood that works well with inlays that skilled woodworkers sometimes create.
