Active duty German soldier captured by Russian recce unit driving Leopard II tank in Ukraine
This news is troubling. A NATO tank a crew has been captured on lands that Russia claims as their own. As a nation, the United States has grown weary of "Russia, Russia, Russia" (whether the Ukrainian conflict or connected to Trump) and hardly even notice when our country crosses a redline in our seemingly endless quest to kickoff WWIII. That tank and crew did not drive from Berlin or any other part of Germany. As with most of the vehicles operated by Ukrainian forces, the United States/NATO formulated a logistical plan and delivered them there to be used against Russia. I'm afraid the clowns who are supposed to be driving "clown car" are going to keep messing with Putin/Russia (who has shown great restraint) till they FAFO. Keep your larder full and your powder dry!
First, Germany has already been on record as sending over 50 Leopard II's to Ukraine, so I fail to understand how this is so "unlikely". In fact, that there was only ONE active duty German tanker involved seems the more unlikely scenario. But that's probably because I'm applying common sense instead of a political viewpoint to the question.
It is not likely to be true. Anything coming out of Russia is unreliable. Propaganda is the major product of Russia these days and they play the Goebbels game quite well.
Putin's version of the MSM is not above lying through its teeth and been caught out in just about everything.
Germany has sent upwards of 50 Leopards to Ukraine. What's likely to be true, is they also sent technicians to run them. You cannot train Ukrainians to run these tanks in a month or even six months. We have instigated this. The world knows about 2014. God help us.
If anything, I was doubting the validity of the video which is more anti-nuclear holocaust than "pro-Russian". in this post due to the fact that YouTube "allowing" it to be shown. I am sort of like that MEME going around that has a gaggle of "baddies" standing with Putin and it reads, something like "I'm not fan of Russia or Putin, but I but I despise these crooks who are pushing for war in Ukraine". We are so used to the "mushroom treatment" (being kept in the dark and fed horseshit) that one hardly knows what to believe. A lot of people support DJT simply because he is an enemy of the perceived "establishment".
Mike, anyone trusting anything coming out of Russia through Sputnik, RT, or any other government owned "source," is a fool. The sources I have in both Ukraine and Russia are telling a far different story. The Russians know they are losing, and many of Putin's supporters have said so.
Don't Mind Me, Ukrainians are maintaining the tanks. I have no idea who is claiming otherwise. They did send technicians to train the Ukrainians. They also trained in Germany.
Jeff, the only man that has pushed for war in Ukraine was Putin. If the meme was pointing to Putin as the bad guy, then it is precisely correct.
If the clown car had decals on it like NASCAR, they would be Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, BAE, etc.
Come to think of it, now that we're apparently up in arms about the Senate dress code, perhaps it would be easier for the electorate to understand where our congressional delegations would adopt NASCAR-like driving suits adorned with their sponsors logos, so we know who owns them.
I wouldn't mind my tax dollars going toward those expensive fire resistant coveralls if that meant that they would stop putting their $1,500 a pop wardrobes on our tab.
