Pretty much what I saw during the Carr fire- fella came running up to the truck- we were not far from French Gulch- "Turn around NOW!!" Just as, right behind him, the flames came up over the hilltop behind. Nothing like going from a trip to Redding to a run for your life in about ten seconds.
(The Carr fire was started by a driver dragging a chain, BTW- it sparked a roadside bush, and the rest was history.)

That mirror looks like its from the video, from a few years ago, of people driving down from the mountains in Tennessee during the wildfire.
ReplyDeleteIt coul dbe from when LA was almost on fire 2-3 years ago.
DeleteWould be even more realistic with a few busted rail cars in the middle of it.
