Father-God, we ask for your healing for our brother's daughter. Those of us with children know the anxiety our brother is feeling. May your hand be upon her. May your peace be upon us as we trust in your power.
Thank you my magnificent Brothers and Sisters. She went home yesterday and any of you with experience in this area know that passage of time with no issues is the best outcome. She had issues four years ago but the Blessings of the Good Lord were bestowed upon her.
She is now carrying my first Grandchild so its a different issue this go round. I pray fervently for an even better outcome.
I had a major tonic-clonic seizure several years ago (that I don't actually remember - my son found me seizing) and the injuries I incurred falling led to a cascading series of problems that led to 7 surguries since 2016 the last of which was 2 weeks ago. My heart goes out to anyone suffering from seizure disorder or epilepsy and I just pray for a good outcome and the courage to go on. I hope that these notes get passed along to her and that she knows that these kindly folks are with her in spirit.
Hopefully she will get the proper Neurologist. I started getting seizures 36 years ago while my wife was pregnant with our second son. It is a long road to get the right meds and especially if the person is growing. I no longing get Grand Mal seizures but still get "psych" seizures where I can blank out for a short time. Clean air for about 5 minutes a day is also good for people with seizures besides meds.
She does VMS and I like the guy. He is from India, Med school in Russia practiced back east in America ended up in Enid Oklahoma where she is. He recognized me when I walked into the room Monday had a big smile. My daughter had seizures 4 years ago due to a brain tumor discovered and treated at JohnsHopkins with good outcome.
To my friends here, I know I was lead to JohnsHopkins by Devine intervention through an older neighbor of mine recommending it then chewing my butt for not following through.
It's in Baltimore but the experience in the hotel, hospital and out in the public was excellent but especially the hospital as well as the hotel. The people were fantastic. Baltimore has its issues just like my home city but the bad rap it gets does not tell the whole story. Yes you need to practice a little safer activities ie. don't be hanging out after dark in the wrong places same as anywhere.
Plus it has history, they have a fort that had a flag that inspired our national anthem in 1812. If you have read any history that is where the battle began that very nearly allowed the British to retake America, read the Three Lives of James Madison for it. Long but great history.
Not kidding, if you need specialty care of any type I recommend nowhere but J H. Don't remember the hotel name but it had a roof top bar that was excellent as well. I have experience with Mayo in Rochester, M D Anderson in Houston and Baylor in Houston. M D Anderson would be my second choice.
ps If anyone you know with a brain tumor get a second and third opinion but go to JohnsHopkins for surgery. you'll thank me later.
Bear Claw’s daughter, here is prayers for you. Keep your stress level at a minimum, the baby will need you relaxed. There is something to be said about Motherhood and how it creates a person that puts her offspring first and foremost. You and the Baby will be fine due to the incredible power of being a Mother you unconsciously possess. Bethany, my wife, has shown me this skill of devotion, patience, servitude, child comes first attitude and no matter what, her strong will does preserve above all things. Know this, you’re a Mother first and always will be. This maybe unfamiliar “power” you possess will carry you through many tough times, rest assured, as my three daughters and I have witnessed over and over. Relax, no stressors, please. James I told my wife Monday that by the end of day I would have people all across the nation and probably around the world praying for my daughter so thank you and again to Irish for posting.
Hi Bear Claw, Just wanted to let you know that I spoke to our Parish Priest yesterday regarding your Daughter’s situation and, low and behold, at tonight’s Mass there was a prayer said (non specific as I didn’t have a name) on her behalf. Don’t know if it will do any good, but I do know that God listens and acts as He will. Best wishes to you and your family, especially your Daughter. James

I'd send weed, it's more effective for siezures than prayer but unfortunately the Drug Enjoyment Agency won't let me.
