I'd wager she did not have any adverse consequences for her outburst. She is a member of a certain class and, because of that, has likely never experienced any adverse consequences for such behavior. If a white man behaved in that way, a beatdown would ensue.

She hit me and somehow her front teef popped out. The Field Grade Article 15 I gave her destroyed her career. She begged, pleaded, cried, sent the Chaplain, EEO and JAG to see me. Nope, didn't budge. When I had her at the position of attention and read her the punishment, in front of a sea of black reps and strap hangers, she fake passed out and the group was ready to come after me. They found my car and destroyed it. Slashing all 4 tires and cutting open the convertible top along with breaking all the windows and lights. Truman messed up when he desegregated the military. I don't miss it as 90% of my time was dealing with the 1% of this crap.

Commanding officer needs to apply some serious UCMJ to that unsat, at a minimum, reduction in rank to the next lower paygrade and forfeiture of 50% of base pay for 4 pay periods, restriction to base and extra duty for the same 2 months. All to be completed without another friggin' peep or we can go down another rank and start again, this time you whole unit can share in the extra duty. Can you say blanket party?

Her fellow service member's actions there says a lot, just standing around watching while your own service is being cheapened by one asshole, that cannot be tolerated. Where are the Lee Ermey types?

ReplyDeleteI have seen something like that in the Air Guard. They were in the process of kicking her sorry ass out and she flip flopped to the Army Guard into an officer position. Two years latter I ran into her at Camp Victory Iraq and found out she had alienated her co-workers so she was given menial jobs away from the rest of the unit. I found out later the Army Guard kicked her ass out after getting back from the sandbox.

But sadly, I don't think this will get fixed without some terrible loss - it may be about the only way people will wake up to how bad things really are.
