Set your router to shut off routing at midnight and pick back up at 06:00. My SIL does that at his place to keep the kids from cruising The Web late at night.
I stopped watching TV in 1987 for this same reason. If it weren't for knowing how at risk we are from a corrupt government ruled so badly by bureaucracies and an Executive that has politicized and weaponized them - DOJ, FBI, FDA, CDC, IRS, ATF, EPA, DOEn, DOEd, etc., ad infinitum - I'd stay off the Internet as well. BUT - better to be upset than to wake up to seized/emptied bank accounts, new gun control laws/regulations, new asset forfeiture activities, further censorship, and other fresh signs (like fresh scat) of tyranny, I continue to connect at 0100, 0400, or whenever.
Notice how news of asset forfeiture cases has completely disappeared over the last 4-5 years? Is it being buried by our erstwhile press co-conspirators or have the cases that have been won in court made the PoPo finally realize that they're on the wrong side of the populace on this one?
I'm betting it's the former. .Gov hates it when news of their perfidy is spread even in the complicit press.
It used to be that the major papers told you all you needed to know. Then they became propaganda outlets for the "Swamp". Now I have to dig through a half dozen screamer sites to know what to verify. Time consuming, but I hate the "taste":of the gubmint mash. It isn't even well written.
a guy just this morning commented on how educated i am because i read /watch schtuff on the net. i replied that the education equates into aggravation to the n'th degree anymore.
