Do everyone a favor , stop hanging out in the blind spots of other cars and trucks. If you can not see the driver then the other driver can not see you.
Agreed. I drove a cab-over back in the day (which gives you an idea about how long ago that was) and if that driver didn't see the car, he wasn't looking. Even in a conventional. Also the truck was overtaking the car, no excuse.
I had something similar happen to me. The trucker didn't see me and he pulled over on me. He caught me just in front of the driver's door and I then had no control over the car. I slid around to his front, and slid across the bumper until I could see the trucker and waved at him. His eyes got as big as saucers and he immediately started to slow. A cop, who had been handling traffic for a nearby auction was waving at the trucker to stop, and my wife was have an hysterical breakdown.
I didn't blame my wife as for several seconds all that could be seen from the driver's window was the truckers radiator grill. The car was still drivable, but it made a mess of my tires.
The semi changed lanes INTO an occupied lane. The semi driver is TOTALLY at fault for this accident. The passenger vehicle was in front of the semi. It was the truck drivers job to insure nobody was in his path.
I've been rear-ended by a semi. In a medium sized car. The entire rear end and trunk were crushed. The front bumper ended up about a foot from my head. Of course, he tried to blame it all on me. I officially hate semi trucks, and every driver who acts like they own the road. They are @#&×>$ !=/$_<%
The auto did a nice recovery. Then again, the auto was going slow in the passing lane. Just inviting "company". Looked like the auto was running the high shoulder. It is wild up there. Until the crunch, there is nothing "in front" of the semi.
I low-bedded and hauled logs and lumber for 12 seasons. If I was in a situation where I felt things could escalate to the point of someone doing something stupid my trick was to take the first offramp and then get right back on the freeway again. I actually only had to do that one time near Fresno when I had some guy playing games with me at two o'clock in the morning when I was driving down the road minding my own business. It's just not worth letting your temper allow you to do something that you'd regret for the rest of your life.
BTW, I'm 71 years old and have never gotten a speeding ticket or any kind of a moving violation, so I must be doing something right.

Looks like the big rig "pit" maneuvered the car. Total dick move.
