    Is that on display at the Naval Museum in DC? I think that was a test for 16 inch armor piercing rounds.

    At Subic, Philippines, the library had a chunk of steel with a 5 inch hole through it. I do not remember what vessel it was from or what war it was. However, it was impressive to look at. Was in 1971.
