  2. Note that only two states set high temp records this century, N. Carolina and Colorado. Colorado? At an altitude of 3800+ feet, at a reservoir? Was the water reflecting infra red right onto the thermometer?

    Of the rest, 64% of the records were set before 1950.

    1. I searched for the image on Tineye and the oldest date found was Aug 21 2016 on Heritage's twitter.
