  1. When I worked for Irvington-Moore I was an Automation Engineer, that was some of the best times I had with machinery...

  2. That was cool! My first job out of HS was at an aluminum fabrication p!ant. Lied about my age as I was 17 and worked as machine operator first then branched out to shipping, doing all kinds of things as I was only 2nd shift gal that could drive the forklift. The smelter was in the way back, extruder in back and fabrication and shipping were in front of the giant warehouse. 1979-81. The process has come a LONG way! Lol!

  3. There is an outfit that sells Knickerbacher bed frames; located in Jersey Shores, PA. They buy used railroad rails all over the country to turn into the bed frames. Interesting video a few years back, especially with the extruder. The product is expensive, but a hell of a lot better than a $69 bed frame from JC Penney.

    1. Found their re-vamped video-mostly marketing now; the few interesting shots start at 4:15 or so. Ever wonder why the green t-bars used for fence posts are nearly impossible to drill into? Same kind of high carbon steel.
