Now that I think about it, I would have liked to have heard David Gilmore, KK Downing and Warren Haynes. I bet you would have had something there. Maybe even Michael Schenker from back in his UFO days style. Smokin'.

Eric Johnson's playing really matched the mood of the song so yeah he was the clear winner.
The guy who imitated EVH did a good job of imitating EVH, but I would have liked to see the real Eddie Van Halen play and improvise and try to match the mood of the song. He played it like a party song which its not.
I like music, but am no aficionado, unlike you, Phil and some others. That was one of the most interesting clips I've ever listened to and brought back many memories of the heyday of great musicians playing awesome innovative music. Thanks.
Yeah, Beato has a great channel and has dramatically improved my understanding of music theory. He has tons of videos with all kinds of cool stuff like this one.
Love watching Beatto’s channel. Would have been interesting to expand that video out but it would never end. Too many really good guitarists including some already mentioned in the comments.

I have to agree that the Eric Johnson version was my favorite. Having said that, there are so many talented guitarists that could have been included (some already mentioned). My short list would be:

We could do this all day. It might be repetitious and tedious, but it'd all be good music.
