I think it needs a new name:
An Arctic cold front is pushing across the area. Most of the overnight was wind gusts above 40mph
Some of them sounded like a freight train running through the yard.
The hourly forecast is pretty much the same here in Eliot, Maine
Between Minot ND,.Plattsburgh NY, and Burlington VT I racked up 40 tears of those freight trains. Then I got smart and moved south!
I used to work at a place where I became angry every Monday (because of stupid shhhtuff that always happened) and it would ruin my whole week. I finally said enough and came up with the following philosophy that I've lived by for decades. "Mondays suck. The week starts at Tuesday." The thought is that simple; Mondays suck. If something bad happens on Monday, no big deal. Mondays suck. If nothing bad happens on Monday, it was a gravy day and the week still starts on Tuesday. As simple and silly as it sounds, it works. Words to live by: "Mondays suck. The week starts at Tuesday."
The wind was so loud last night in southern New England, it was like living in the flight path at the end of the runway of a busy international airport. Thankfully the damaged tree we always worried about destroying the house was taken down last November
Same wind here in western NJ. And this morning it was 19 with a 5 degree wind chill. Forecast for mid-week is in the low 60s. Feeling climate confused right now.
The climate is not confused. Humans tend to be. Everything/everyspace is cold(sub-cold). Except the 2 things of nearest concern to us earthlings: the earth's core and its sun. Soon enough they will be cold, and everything will be cold.In the mean time, enjoy the coming ice age. Nothing humans have done created it, and nothing humans will ever do will stop.Nous Defions
