I have lived in several areas of this country, but nothing compares to Christmas time and people in the Dixie South, Merry Christmas to you Jeffery and Irish.
It is something special. This year is not much different despite all the BS going on in the country. I handed the owner of a local store where I trade a box of .223/5.56 about an hour ago and told him Merry Christmas. He reached under the counter and handed me a gift bag with bows on it, etc. I didn't look in it till I started home. There was a box of .223/5.56 and box of .22 LR inside. God Save The South!
I went deep South for Christmas, Marathon Key. It was 79 degrees here when I heard it was snowing in Atlanta today. The sunrise and sunsets are phenomenal!
My wife of 30 years is a North Georgia girl. Our first son was born on a Dec 16 in Atlanta and we had a 9 day old boy and a light snow on the ground on our pine tree wooded lot that Christmas day. This song really takes me there.
