A mix of pepper and paint is even better! (You can inject some "interesting" substances in the paint balls, as well. Like sec-Butyl Mercaptan or other Mercaptans!)
I loved this. Less than lethal, but painful enough that he most likely won't come back to that particular sign again. Too bad it wasn't close enough to be able to his a sausage sized target, if you know what I mean. He would actually be helping the guy out, as it would make things swell up to twice their size.
