I know what you mean. At age 21, I had the opp to be a TO in a Mohawk for the Oregon National Guard. I passed that up, and would probably be some sort of a pilot now. Young, dumb and stupid. But I repeat myself.
Her father & Uncle run a helicopter flying service in Montana. She's been around helos literally her entire life. She's been flying them since she was 13. Google 'Billings Flying Service'. They operate six Chinooks, plus a couple of Bell helos. This is quite an operation.
Helo Privilege? Sad you cannot accept that some folks have skills (earned by hard work and time put in) and BRAVERY from an outstanding set of Parents and family.

(Some 'activities' may require a couple-three years for this 19-year old to legally 'appreciate'. But the acknowledgment of finer lawful details may be somewhat missing in the original W.O.M.P.ASS charter...)

Instead I was in a missile silo in beautiful Minot ND.
Thank goodness there are a few fine young people left.

ReplyDeletethe schools aviation program is probably things she knew years ago. pilots tend to be the kind who started studying when they were 9.
