ReplyDeleteNot an easy choice here! Barbara Eden has the better body IMHO. She won the genetic lottery, and took care of that body too! Elizabeth Montgomery didn't start quite as high, and didn't take care of herself as well either.
ReplyDeleteAttitudes reverse this. Barbara Eden does innocence well, but Elizabeth Montgomery smolders. I'll take naughty over nice here.
In the end, I'd go with Montgomery over Eden. Would you rather watch Barbara have innocent fun, or would you rather have fun with Elizabeth?

DeleteWell, I really didn't need to vote since I kind of instigated this thing, but yeah, Elizabeth Montgomery is my choice. I had a girlfriend who looked a bit like her when I was in high school and had a strikingly similar voice to her Samantha character. Especially when she said, "Well....". Too bad that I didn't treat her as well as I should have and she dumped my sorry ass............

Barbara has that little miss innocent face perched atop that killer body. Elizabeth has that come hither face but the body is just a little above average, IMHO.

Barbara's my first choice, but who would say no to Elizabeth? Both were/are icons of beauty in their own right. They didn't need to tat up and pierce every appendage to try and stand out from the crowd.

ReplyDeleteLooking at their major career makers, their television shows, I think that Barbara Eden looked quite a bit younger than Elizabeth Montgomery at the start of each of their shows, she was actually 2 years older. And so while Barbara Eden had a certain appearance of the innocence of youth in the beginning of her playing Jeannie, Elizabeth Montgomery was blessed with the looks of an experienced adult, with the playfulness of one damn hot woman.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a difficult choice to make, because they both were hot, but in slightly different ways, but I always thought that Elizabeth Montgomery had a personality, away from her show, that would melt the hardest of men's hearts. Barbara Eden, who also has a personality that can stop a man in his tracks, is the Las Vegas showgirl compared to the hot waitress who brings you drinks, while you gamble,looking hot, and putting you in a good mood at the same time, sometimes chatting with you, or just listening to you tell her about yourself.
A vote between these two is really tough, because they are both hot, and choosing is pretty much based on one's own preference. Kind of like Coke or Pepsi. I have to choose Elizabeth Montgomery, in part due to her acting career. Not just the Bewitched television series, but also in her playing the lead role in Lizzie Borden, where she did the best job of any actress ever. Christina Ricci of course,has done the best job in the modern era, but didn't match the intensity or the evilness that Elizabeth Montgomery showed, while at the same time remaining hot and desirable. I could also choose Barbara Eden,and not feel bad about it. And she is still alive,and hot, at the age of 89.

ReplyDeleteElizabeth Montgomery always made me think about the girl-next-door that grew up really well, and became the perfect upper-middle class housewife. You just *knew* why her husband left for work with a smile on his face in the morning!
Barbara Eden always made me think about the bubbly high-school cheerleader that grew up even better, and caused every red-blooded American male within 50' to drop their jaw. She was the perfect upper-class "housewife" married to the guy with lots of money and nobody really knew what he did for a living, but it was Very Important. And in those rare moments when you saw him, he had a mysterious smile on his face, like he knew what you were thinking.

Barbara Eden has always been my favorite and she still looks good and she is in her 80s now. On Dec. 29, 1963 she was the opening act for Bob Hope in Vegas and it happened to be my wedding night. My whole family was with us celebrating our wedding and we were sitting in the front row. Barbara was singing and then she came down into the audience and started talking to us, asking what the occasion was, so we naturally told her and she invited everyone in the audience to our room for the party. Then she sat down in my lap and I have to admit to slight second thoughts about my bride, but only momentarily, or so I will attest to under oath.
