I'm also in SoCal. To be specific, this kind of fight, which apparently occurred in ritzy Manhattan Beach, is relatively common in the white ring of communities around Los Angeles. Sixty plus years experience to prove it. The truly gritty stuff happens 20 miles east in South Central. When I was growing up, the white folks were badass, would not have said word one, and just kicked their a$$e$.
