Rewind to earlier today.
I was stuck at my desk for a bit and decided to play some background music. Something different not the same ol' same ol'. Hit Youtube and fired up this one:
A little later I was called out to the shop for a while and then returned to finish what I was doing.
I have Youtube set to play similar music so when I sat down the tunes were still on. It was a song I didn't recognize but it caught my ear. A band named Whiskey Myers. I sent the link to Phil and his comment was the title of this post.
Here ya go........
I sat down and listened to over half of this album before I got pulled away and really liked it.
ReplyDeleteMy first impression was like, the love child of The Black Crowes and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
There is some surprisingly good guitar work hidden in amongst some of these tunes and it is an album I can easily recommend.
Of course what Irish DIDN'T tell you, was that he also ran across another genre of music and sent me a link to a song. I didn't recognize it until I sat down to watch it.
Let's just say that it's a little on the Hard Core side. Right up my alley.
