mASSholes, now f*@king up New Hampshire Until Labor Day...

State beaches such as Hampton Beach have been shut down as the state tried to limit the spread of COVID-19. Sununu has also expressed concerns that people could travel from out of state, particularly from Massachusetts, (<<isn't this a form of discrimination?) which has been hit hard by COVID-19.

Sununu said that under the new guidance, state beaches on the Seacoast will be open for active recreation, defined as activities such as running, walking, swimming and surfing. People won't be allowed to sit or lounge on the beach or play games on the sand.

Ocean Boulevard along Hampton Beach will be closed to vehicular traffic from A to O streets From June 1 through Labor Day, Sununu said. Some other streets will be modified to accommodate traffic, such as Ashworth Avenue becoming a two-way road.

Sununu said the closure of Ocean Boulevard will allow pedestrians to walk without coming too close to each other, and restaurants along the street may be able to expand for outdoor seating.
State parking lots will also be limited to 50% capacity, Sununu said. There are no constraints on private lots, and restrictions on town lots are up to the municipalities.

  1. So, according to the governor, one can walk or run on the sand, but can't sit there and listen to the sound of the waves or soak up some rays. I wonder if the parking lot at North Beach is closed? Close Ocean Blvd? All of the businesses along Ocean Blvd are not going to be able to make a living. Always knew that young Sununu was a bone head. He's putting that moniker on grand display now. This is the same kind of thinking that got Califruitopians "you can walk on the WET sand, but NOT on the DRY sand".

What's even more disconcerting is the UL's non-coverage of any of the new policies/rules re:Hampton or any of the state beaches in general.

Whom ever comes up with these brilliant feats of reason needs to identified, hunted down and SHOT before a live audience, along with the people that allowed this kind of bullshit to be proclaimed as policy.

    1. Shot? I'd vote for that.

IMHO, it's going to come to that anyway.

I don't live in Nashua though, alas, I have to go there from time to time. They've passed a mandatory mask law.

    2. Geez, after re-reading what I wrote earlier I guess I was a little hot under the collar and pretty frustrated with the sometimes downright stupid policy being promulgated by Governor Sununu and half of rest of the rest of the Club 50.

  2. ...and another thing. NH has 18 miles of Atlantic coastline, while Massholeachusetts has 192 miles of coast line. Why in heck do they insist on coming to NH?

  5. Isn't New Hampshire's motto "Live free or Die"? Sounds like that needs to be changed or some people need to stand up.
