Unless sent to do whatever needs to be done to "safe" the crane in high winds? I don't know how fast that blew up, but it sounds fishy to me. A crane here in Dallas collapsed and killed someone in a storm because of improper procedures, IIRC.
Bet there was a change of shorts once he got on the ground! Amazing show though!
I am sure they are gonna have to change the cab of the crane too...
