We have a blank permanent sign in front of the firehouse, that uses magnetic letters. We use it for messages to the community and I am in charge of it. My plans for a generic holiday message have been scrapped by the chief, who told me he wants it to say "Merry Christmas." I am more than happy to comply. I usually kid him about putting up non-pc messages, like during last Novembers election where I told him I was posting "Friends don't let friends vote democrat," so his recent order surprised me.
