I purposely do not have one in the chamber for the very reason that a 12 gauge racking a round is a very DISTINCT sound and will scare the crap out of any unwanted guest.
I am with Leigh, only the sound of the safety clicking off. If they are still alive or their is another intruder near, they will hear the racking and know my intentions are pure!
Exactly, Cederq ! Besides, if you have to work the pump to chamber a round, that is one less round than the gun can hold. I prefer as many rounds on hand as possible.
Nope - Just a click as the safety is pushed forward.
