I knew a guy who built Transmission line towers back in 1978, and he was making a huge amount of money. I think I'd have even done that, given the chance. I was even rock climbing back then. Why didn't I try for that kind of a job. I was a SCUBA diver back then as well. I seriously thought about becoming a commercial diver, which pays very well also. I blew that chance. I'm no millionaire, but I'm still alive. ;-)
I watched it yesterday and again today. Heights don't bother me, it's the FALLING that scares me. Watching this clip makes me queasy. Had to watch it again today because yesterday I didn't notice if they were each using a tether line. Today I see they are, which still makes me feel queasy. I could not do that job.
And just thing; in thirty years they can retire!
