I had a golden some years ago, that was the sweetest dog one could ever meet. Yet, twice, I got between her and the stranger I got close to. She went totally into, "I'm gonna rip your throat out" mode if I didn't stop her.
The mic cracks me up.

She died of old age, on Christmas evening.
