The Zion narrows are fantastic, but it’s a bit of a hike.
If Doug is talking about the "Subway", he is right. Very cool hike, and it has actually been used in a couple of Western films. You need a permit and to check conditions, as it can get wet this time of year.https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/thesubway.htm
Angels Landing in Zion is pretty nice.
I just left Zion, go twice a year. I always hike Angel's landing along with a couple hundred other people. If you don't like crowds hike to deer trap mountain or to cable mountain. Saw two people on each hike. In the town of Springdale just outside the main gate is "Frontier Plunder" my favorite store http://frontierplunder.com/ Honestly if you don't buy a thing you will still enjoy browsing the store. It is like a museum. We ate at Don Pedro's Mexican restaurant I had the fajitas where were awesome. Hiking the narrows is always a good choice (it is not the Subway) It is about two miles up river to "Wall Street". You need a staff/stick but you don't need to rent the boots, I wear my leather work boots and after they dry they fit even better. The trick if you are hiking in canyon is go early and return early. It is crowded and by noon there are 10,000 people in the canyon and they are sometimes all in front of you waiting for the bus (seems that way). Most don't hike, most just look, walk a little and take pictures, but they all ride the bus to get there. So go early 7:00 AM and return by noon.
Thanks all, I'll pass on your suggestions.:)
Good pics, but I too have a good friend that has shared his pictures of Escalante on FB that he took today. Funny coincidence!
There is a nice campground at "Coral Pink Sandunes" not far from Zion that has an excellent campground. I believe it is a Utah State Park Facility. . but not sure. When I stayed there I still had Quads and they had a very interesting trail, actually it was a fairly deep wash with high walls. It was a one way only ride but fun as hell. You could use the walls just like a toboggan run. I did however run into one rider who obviously could not read. Poor guy got the short end of the stick on that head on collision. Pays to wear ALL of your riding gear, includung chest protectors! The bright pink sand against the deep blues sky and tall very green pines with yellow flowers in bloom was an awesome sight. Nice clean campround.
Went back and look. . .the State park does have a website and video
Canyonlands NP. Take the Elephant Hill jeep trail and go see the rock art, pictograms and petroglyphs. And don't miss the Silver Stairs and the Needles District......
Stop in the town of Panguitch for breakfast or lunch. Nice town.
Can't recommend any sites, never been there - but beautiful pics. Just beautiful!

Not the sci-fi writer/author. Sorry. Frequently asked. I'm the David Drake who is a "no body." :)
Head south to Page AZ. Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon are AMAZING!! Lots of tours available. Boat ride to Rainbow Bridge and or the float trips down the Colorado to Lee's Ferry past Horseshoe Bend (view from below). Hike to Horseshoe Bend off Hwy 89 (view from above.) There is also the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. So much to see and do, so little time to take it all in.
Hell's backbone and Calf Creek Falls just outside of Boulder. Stop by the Kiva Koffeehouse. Fantastic view from the restaurant.
