Teaching our kids teal math at home. The new math with the number lines is useless. I'm coming to the belief that the new math is supposed to make kids grow up math illite4ate.
Then you would be correct! It is to give everyone the same disadvantage so that the ignorant don't feel stupid and the hard workers don't feel superior.
I agree with you Miss Lisa 100%. The dumbing down of our children is obvious and intentional. A dumb population is a subservient slave race and easily controllable.
Go to youtube and watch some of the pro common core propaganda. Stanford telling how our American students are failing and need common core math. Uh, students are not failing, the teachers are failing.
All of you that are complaining about the common core problem.....have you ever gone to a Board of Education meeting and complained? Or have you ever done anything to correct this behemoth? Not belittling anyone; BUT computer warriors are a dime a dozen and are moving the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. If you aren't going to the source of the problem, ie, the education ivory tower, then you need to reconsider your strategy. Steve

ReplyDeleteWhat I should have said is "hard workers don't feel like they accomplished something."
DeleteWhat ever happened to "If it ain't broke...Don't fix it?" This is the dumbing down of our grandchildren...children. It is being done intentionally.

ReplyDeleteDid anyone consider that the real reason for this method is to give the products of an Education Degree math THEY could understand?
