If You Could Pass Away Doing What You Liked... What Would It Be?
It's seems this guy did:
A sailboat carrying the body of a man who appeared to be in his 70s drifted onto the shore of a popular beach in Beverly on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Investigators said the man’s death did not appear to be suspicious, but offered few details about the unusual discovery that came during the middle of a near-perfect summer day for beachgoers and patrons of an adjacent city park.
The 32-foot vessel washed up on a beach at Lynch Park near Ober Street at about 1:30 p.m., said Beverly police Officer Michael Boccuzzi, a department spokesman. He referred further questions to Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett’s office.
In a statement, Blodgett’s office said the man, whom authorities did not name, “appears to have died of natural causes.”

I'd want to die walking quietly on a beach in the fall, after all the tourists have left, a cool evening with a clear sky and the wind blowing not too hard.
ReplyDeletesomething involving 5 naked 20 year olds at age 100.
ReplyDeleteThat's not a bad way to go...
ReplyDeleteIf they found him standing at the tiller with a glass of whiskey in one hand, i'd say, yeah, he went out with a smile.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be 105 years old, and shot by a jealous 30 year-old's husband!
ReplyDeleteNorm, you forgot to add, "while in bed with his 18 year old wife on her wedding night"

ReplyDeleteI know that not one has done this, and that it will be decades before anyone does, but flying above the clouds of Saturn with the rings in the sky.
ReplyDeleteMore earthly, I love the outdoors. I love the alpine wilderness and that is where I would want to be.
You might have to be of a certain age to understand the reference, but I think that Nelson Rockefeller set the bar for this particular challenge .
