Reminds me of many years ago. I had a 32 automatic in a cabinet in the garage that I for got was there. Found it one day, went out back to let off a round or two. But, instead of a pow, there was a poof. I guess the dampness, extra dry, different seasons over the years did an number on the powder. I had to get the gun cleaning rod to push the round out of the barrel. Glad I didn't really need it. The intended victim who have hurt himself laughing at me.
I remember, years ago, a gun dealer bragging about a gunsmith who did work on 1911A's. Showed me how he had smoothed and widened the feed ramp to the point where an empty case would chamber _backwards_. Didn't have the heart to tell him that was a bug, not a feature.
Irish - what is the location of that gorgeous river and mountain area on your header? Somewhere in Alberta?
In that scenario I think I would pull the bullet out of the brass casing before I rammed a cleaning rod down the barrel. I would think brass and all would come out with needle nose though. Couldn't have buried itself too far down the taper.
Could the bullet have been loaded in the magazine backwards to cause this? I have had semi autos for years and shoot them and have never had that happen to me. Also since you are divulging your excellent header locations, I would like to know where you got the space one with the moon close to earth with the weather patterns, that one is the coolest of all the cool headers you have posted.
Hi Cedarq, send me an email and I will forward the picture to you if you like. I probably got it from a wallpaper site like many of the others. I scroll through lots of pics until I find one I like or one that fits my mood :) Any time you want info on where I got one. Please feel free to comment. I will see if I can track that one down.

DeleteDamn. I'm embarrassed. My home state since 2012, but I haven't explored much beyond the SW part, where I live, on the edge of the Sapphire Mountains.
