Whoa !!! I had the first couple notes of a song intro going through my head last night and I couldn't get to sleep until I figured out what it was. It was "Highway Song". Kind of spooky that you put it on today..............................
That's interesting. I was mulling over a few songs for the post. ACDC highest to hell. Golden earring radar love. Triumph lay it on the line and highway song. I had ACDC posted and at the last minute u switched it out for highway song. That's a great album Blackfoit Strikes.
All good choices. I play everyone of them when I get out to dj picnics except "Highway To Hell". I usually use "It's A Long Way To The Top" because I love the bagpipes. Two thumbs up for "Lay It On The Line". Saw my red '65 Mustang on the video. If I wasn't married I'd probably buy one. That's what I had when I was dating the lovely missus all those years ago. She's not falling for the nostalgia gambit, though.........................
Good morning Bob, if you're a triumph fan on YouTube search out triumph live us festival 1983. Some great clips. Then search for Rik Emmett. He did some tours recently touted as a night of triumph. Some great acoustic versions of their songs. Enjoy
Great version of "Lay It On The Line". I had my doubts at first about how it would sound with an acoustic guitar, but he didn't disappoint. I started thinking about how good the Neil Young acoustic version of "Rockin' In The Free World" was and then Rick Emmett mentioned him during the song. Amazing how well his voice has held up. He sounded as good as he did 30 years ago. Thanks for the heads up.................
