interesting, that over at tristan, there is the comprehensive nuclear test ban treaty organization monitoring station, both for seismic activity and radiation. didn't see a landing strip, but there is something like a useable harbor if you're not on a very big ship. wonder what their suicide (or death by mysterious causes) rate is. http://www.ctbto.org/map/#ims
To find it and the wiki link, I used google earth. It's a great program when you want to retravel the roads you've already been over, and it's a great way to see things without getting your ass out of the easy chair. Street view is a wonderful tool. (sadly, no street view for that island though).
