I believe the proper question is, "HOW the ...?" The "what" is pretty obvious. It's the "how" that has me puzzled. Millerized, I'm guessing a woman driver of Chinese extraction... either that or this photo is from Phoenix.
The driver was going from right to left, somehow managed to get off the road despite the curb, and hit the tree frontally. The rear end of the small car got lifted up in the crash, and came down on the pole, thus getting wedged in between the tree and pole as seen on the photo.
Women driver....betcha.

Based on the one photo, my guess is this:
