I love this kid. Having subbed in several high schools, the norm is to find "packets" for the kids to work on in class. Usually in groups. I asked if this was the normal busywork the give to make it easier for subs, and the kids told me no, this IS the NORM. The teachers were usually texting, reading or playing Angry Birds. Did I mention I love this kid?
Why on earth are we paying these 'teachers'? Take their salaries, give the kids laptops with course software, and finishing the daily schoolwork unlocks games/Internet. We'd save a ton of money and get better results.
