I am not anywhere near the professional photographer that some of the bloggers are. So please understand that these photos don't ever come CLOSE to capturing this view. I tried a couple different settings and adjustments just to see if I could at least come close to what it really looked like.
The pictures that are rotated sideways show a double sundog that was over head. It was hard to capture the whole image but I think you get the drift.....
"The calm before the storm"
Yep, sundogs and rainbows down here too... High Cirrus will do that! Nice pics by the way!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics - you should send them to your local newspaper!
ReplyDeleteYour header pic is about as ominous as any cloud pic I've ever seen. (and I'm obsessed with cloud pics!)
ReplyDeleteHunker down and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteDidn't know you were in Sandy's path. Keep your head down.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's "beans, beer, and band-aids". Probably won't need bullets, but the number of emergency room visits peaks around here during storm clean up. You get guys who have never even seen a chain saw operate trying to cut up fallen trees with one.
Great camera work, and keep yourself safe during the storm, although is sounds like it's the rain and storm surge that will really do damage. Maybe you can blog the storm from the super secret FI headquarters.
