This morning I stopped at one of the local diners for some bacon and eggs I was craving. As I sat there a gentleman, maybe 10 years older than I , came in and sat down at the far end of the bar. He was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, working man style. After about 5 minutes another man in shirt and tie, business attire, came in and sat down in between where I was sitting and the first guy.
They obviously new the waitress and were sharing there good mornings when one of them said
"I hope it's a good day"
The other responded " It will be when Obama's gone"
I perked up, raising my coffee mug, "Here's to that!" to which we all toasted.
The next 15 minutes were definitely spirited anti-obama conversation with a few others in the joint chiming in.
It was good to see that sentiment is out there and growing.
It was a great breakfast....

ReplyDeleteGod I hope so, I work in a union shop, the ppl there are so f-ing stupid it's ridiculous. Most believe their savior will be reelected. The ppl at my job either hate me(blacks) or think I'm crazy(Whites-Hispanics). I cant believe their belief systems .........
Hang in there Mike, I think the economy will bounce with a Romney win. I DON'T think he is the answer, but we have seen what the progs want to do. The country as a whole is in trouble and the shit will hit the fan sooner or later regardless of who is in. I think it will be a positive mindset for most if Obama is kicked out... let's hope.
