Hey Lets Mix Their DNA With Living Ones.....

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- Fossils of a tiny and previously unknown saber-toothed, squirrel-like creature have been discovered in Argentina, providing new clues to how small mammals lived among dinosaurs more than 93 million years ago, scientists said Thursday.

If we mix their DNA what could possibly go wrong?

  1. Now that's my kind of squirrel hunting...

  2. That would make it more sporting. And the idea of taking one with a .22 would involve a backup shooter with a 12 gauge and #6 shot.

  3. And I am reminded of the Stephen King story, "Mrs. Todd's Shortcut."

  4. I would love to see the squirrel who lives in my palm tree, "Rocky", crossed with a saber toothed squirrel. That way he could scare the piss out of the neighborhood cats who look at him as "lunch". But he holds his own as it is, thwarting their every move, then chattering insults at them. You go Rocky! : )

  5. Sabre tooth squirrel, holy crap, how cool would that be!

Hunting them with my .308 might actually be justified then.

  6. The squirrel would become a carnivore and want to eat YOUR nuts.
