ReplyDeleteI think the story is overwrought. What researchers have been trying to do (with some success) is use animal hosts to grow individual human organs. If this works, it will mean that we won't have to scavenge dead humans for usable parts in the future. It means that people won't have to die while waiting for someone else to die so they can have their liver, kidneys, heart, or other organs.
