Just a point for clarification, whike there are mentally unstable men, who believe they are women trapped in a male body, and thus take estrogen (among other things), depending on the patient, estrogen is also used in treating prostate cancer.
Thanks Jeffery. When I was traveling for work, Dreamland was a favorite stop in Tuscaloosa, as was Bib Bob Gibson's in Decatur. You must be slipping a bit because there were no pictures of Liz or Barbara.
I haven't tried the Original Dreamland in T-Town, but the one in Birmingham appears to be coasting on the original's reputation. I was not impressed. As far as Big Bob goes, I make a better white sauce at home. My Uncle Pig used to run a barbecue joint in Addison, Alabama, and I reverse-engineered it from his (He never would give me the recipe).
No harm, no foul TN Patriot. We will blame on the quality of the photo. The original Dreamland was just an old house made in to BBQ joint, but they had some mighty fine pork. I liked their red sauce. It was a real piece of Southern Americana. There are several Dreamland's these days. I have never tried one of the newer ones, but have heard mixed reviews. Also Unchuck the Tuchuck , I knew C.A. Smith very well. Bob Gibson is good. I would rank Southern BBQ and Family BBQ near the top of anything I've eaten in Alabama. I always like the "World Famous Green Top too. Their sauce is very unique. As a note, I make a better "white sauce" than any BBQ eatery I know of, IMHO.
Unless I'm mistaken, the picture of Barbara Eden is from the 1964 movie, "Ride the Wild Surf" which she starred in the year before "I Dream of Jeannie" hit the small screen.

How many of the brutal truths about people apply to DJT?
ReplyDeleteHe is 8 for 8
Well, they're called brutal truths, so I imagine they apply to everyone.
DeleteIncluding you.
None of the above.
DeleteSo, we can assume that you'll be attending the library event in Boston, eh, Markey Mark?

ReplyDeleteTake a hard look at the first picture. Barbie wasn't always blonde.
DeleteBy golly, I believe you are correct, sir. I owe Jeffery an apology.
